FREELANCE DEVELOPER

Hi! I'm Matt, a freelance developer based in Wisconsin, USA.
After a physical disability ended my restaurant management career, I taught myself how to design, build, and deploy everything from video games to small business software.
My goal is to one day re-enter the workforce from a different angle.
SteveRPG @ Steam Reviews
“The best is that the dev is dedicated to his players and responds quickly to questions and fixes bugs immediately. I highly recommend this fantastic rpg."
Wormtrix @ Steam Reviews
"[His work] definitely shines in its story, gameplay and many hidden secrets and flavor of dialogue, the characters are also just charming, not just the main characters, but the side characters as well!"
Bashin @ Steam Reviews
"I want to see more of this world, and you will too once you play it..."
About Me
I had always assumed my health would keep up with my work ethic but in 2019 a severe injury to my legs put me on Disability. I couldn't just sit around but didn't have any money for classes, so I had to teach myself.
Now I leverage my skills in a way that helps people with their own endeavors. Through freelancing, I hope to gather enough credentials to establish a new career path that will help me to re-enter the workforce at a different angle.
Every client helps me build my professional portfolio.
What I Can Do For You
General Tech Solutions Architect

Custom Software
You don't need to pay outrageous monthly fees to "rent" someone else's software. I build custom apps and programs dedicated to your specific needs, from simple calculators to full stack systems. No headache, no monthly fees--just lasting solutions that work.
Custom Web Site
The drag-and-drop web builders and AI-powered creators are great to get you started but they can only take you so far. I provide powerful custom web solutions that fit your exact needs. At the end, you'll own a fast, great looking site that brings you to the next level.

Operations Integration
Sometimes we hang on to the old way of doing things. An old Excel sheet database here, a pile of sales receipts there. I can reverse-engineer your already existing systems and integrate custom solutions for your particular needs.
My Projects
From Game Development to Small Business Solutions

Ogre Dungeon
A very retro-style dungeon crawler that follows the traditions of the 1980s hit Rogue -- but with an angry ogre that stalks you throughout.

Neverspring Chronicles
A 20-year passion project that eventually became my first commercially available game title.
My own little low-budget love-letter to the JRPG adventures I grew up with in the early 1990's.

Event Builder: Brides & Banquets
Fully interactive 3D software for event planning such as banquets, weddings, speaker events, and more. Set up events in minutes. Save/load setups. Save/load custom centerpiece arrangements. Print 2D floor-plan views to distribute among staff or cast 3D view directly to a smart TV for real-time visual confirmation during real-world event setups.

Wicked City Defense Squad
A silly post-apocalyptic base defense game where you defend an outpost from zombies while rescuing survivors.

Warp Slayer
A retro-style vertical scrolling space shooter where you battle cosmic monsters that threaten hyperspace trade routes.

Ready Check!
Instant real-time shared operational status app for phones, tablets, and computers. Designed as a simple, direct, and effective way to communicate information on-the-go. Highly intuitive visual interface. Little to no staff training required.

MUNCH: Experimental AI Architecture for NPCs
This project is an ongoing experiment in different kinds of neural networks.
